MILFORD, PA -- Kindred Spirits goes international by bringing a highly praised Brasil Guitar Duo to Grey Towers in Milford, PA on Saturday, July 10th at 5:30pm.
Winners of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, Duo members João Luiz and Douglas Lora have been recording and performing together for ten years. Their repertoire ranges from classical guitar duos (Bach, Rameau, Debusssy, Castelnuovo-Tedesco) to sambas, choros, and other traditional music styles of Brazil.
In keeping with their versatility, the Brasil Guitar Duo has performed in many kinds of music festivals in the Americas and overseas and has appeared in venues ranging from symphony halls to outdoor arenas to BAMCafe in New York City. Classical Guitar Magazine declares that these two performers' "maturity of musicianship and technical virtuosity …is simply outstanding.”
This concert is presented by Kindred Spirits Arts Programs in cooperation with the Grey Towers Heritage Association and the USDA Forest Service, which administers Grey Towers.
